This cat breed is extremely unusual, they range up to 32 pounds. It is a cross between and African Serval and a domestic cat. The body style of the Savannah kind of resembles the cheetah, the hind legs especially. They are very lanky and have extremely long legs that go up past their spine when they are sitting. Savannah cat ownership differs from state to state in the United States. Some states view this breed as domestic cats with no restriction on ownership, while other states prohibit them entirely. Iowa, Georgia, Alaska and Massachusetts and New York City all have restrictions on the Savannah breed.
